Should You Clean Windows with Newspaper?

Short answer

You can clean some windows with newspaper, but it is no longer the best default method. Plain newsprint can leave glass looking clear because the paper is thin, absorbent, and less fluffy than kitchen roll. The problem is that modern papers, coloured inserts, coatings, and old ink can smear onto frames, seals, sills, and hands.

When newspaper can work
