Questions and answers

Find the detail you need

Answers cover the credit application, Express Windows Group payment stages and the relationship between finance and your guarantee.

Finance applications

Approval, checks, rates and the broker relationship.

Who provides the finance?

Express Windows Group prepares the product and installation quotation. Ideal Sales Solutions Ltd, trading as Ideal4Finance, acts as a credit broker and not a lender. If an application is approved, the credit agreement is between you and the lender.

Is finance guaranteed?

No. Every application is subject to lender assessment and approval. Eligibility, affordability, the amount available, the interest rate and the repayment term all depend on your circumstances and the lender's criteria.

Will a credit check be carried out?

Lenders use credit-reference and affordability information when assessing an application. Read the information shown during the application carefully before agreeing to proceed.

How long does an application take?

The online form is designed to be straightforward and can usually be completed in a few minutes. The time needed for a decision can vary if the lender requires more information or supporting documents.

Do I need a deposit for finance?

That depends on the finance product and lender. Some options may require a contribution and others may not. This is separate from the payment schedule shown on your Express Windows Group quotation.

Could finance be secured against my home?

Ideal4Finance may provide access to secured as well as unsecured options. Think carefully before securing other debts against your home. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or another debt secured on it.

How are rates and repayment terms decided?

The lender sets the rate, term and available amount after reviewing the application. Compare the total amount repayable, monthly commitment, fees and conditions shown in the credit agreement, not only the monthly figure.

Is there a cooling-off period?

Consumer credit agreements include a statutory 14-day withdrawal period. The practical effect of withdrawing can depend on the agreement and whether funds have been released, so read the lender's terms and contact the lender promptly if you change your mind.

Project payments

Quotations, payment stages, cards and lead times.

What is the project payment schedule?

Your accepted quotation is the definitive record of the payment stages. Unless the quotation states otherwise, the standard structure is a 50% order payment, with the remaining balance due seven days before delivery or installation.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Payment can be made by bank transfer or an accepted payment card. American Express is accepted. Your quotation and invoice will confirm the available methods and the account details to use.

How long is my quotation valid?

Quotations are normally valid for 30 days from issue. If the validity period has passed, ask the team to refresh the quotation before placing an order because supplier prices, specifications or lead times may have changed.

When will the installation take place?

Lead times vary by material, product, finish and supplier capacity. The team will explain the expected programme when quoting and will confirm the installation or delivery date once manufacture and logistics are sufficiently advanced.

Should I arrange finance before requesting a quote?

Start with the product and installation quotation. It gives you a more reliable project value to discuss with the broker and helps avoid applying for an amount that does not match the final specification.

Guarantees

How product cover and finance remain separate.

Does using finance change my product guarantee?

No. The product and installation guarantee is separate from the finance agreement. Using finance does not replace the written guarantee supplied for the work.

What does the guarantee cover?

Cover depends on the product, glazing, hardware and manufacturer. Your quotation and guarantee documents set out the applicable periods, exclusions and maintenance requirements. Review our guarantees and accreditations guide or ask the team about a specific system.

Who do I contact if I have a problem after installation?

Contact Express Windows Group for a product, installation or guarantee concern. Keep your quotation and installation details to hand so the team can identify the relevant product and cover.
