A reliable finish schedule records the exact colour reference, texture or sheen and which face it applies to. Similar names are not enough when several suppliers or materials meet on one elevation.

What matters

RAL is a widely used European colour-matching system that gives a consistent reference for painted and powder-coated finishes. Hundreds of colours are available across the wider palette, although the exact range depends on the product and supplier.

White, anthracite grey and black are common stock choices. Non-stock colours, textured coatings and different colours inside and out can affect cost and lead time, so samples and written finish codes should be approved before order.
